An Alternative to Naked

So I do realise that the title of this post seems a little odd but todays post is a post that has been on my list for ages but I have never really got round to doing it. Now everybody who reads even reads one blog knows that the Urban Decay Naked Palettes are everyones weakness over here in makeup obsessed land but there are actually many alternatives now available.

I have wanted a naked palette for quite sometime and I was about to hand over my cash when I came across some new launches which caught my eye, these are both still in a similar price range although I will most likely do a budget alternative post at some point in the near future.

1. Clinique - All About Shadow 8-Pan Palette

The shadows in this palette are shimmery as opposed to matte but if that is your thing then I'm sure you will love this as it features a wide range of colours ranging from light to dark which can be used as an everyday easy look or as a heavily contoured evening look. This palette is £32 from Clinique.

2. Smashbox Full Exposure Palette

The shadows in this palette range from nudes to blacks and it features mattes, simmers and glitters. The palette contains 14 shadows so a fair few more than the Clinique palette and comes with a double ended brush and a mini mascara tester. This retails for £36 from Smashbox.

I'm not sure I have found the perfect palette yet so the search will continue and suggestions would be greatly received,
