Review: MUA Lipstick -Shade 9

Heya,

So as you will have seen in my Birmingham haul I had a little splurge at the MUA stand in Superdrug whilst I was there (it's not really a splurge since everything is priced so well but you catch my drift). I have already reviewed the MUA eXtreme curl mascara which I was not very pleased with but now it's time to review another of my purchases...

...A Lipstick in Shade 9.

This product was just £1 so how could I resist? I went for shade 9 as it was a nice dark pinky red without it being too extravagant (I don't do big), it almost has orangey bronzy flecks in it which give your lips that extra shimmer and the best thing is you can actually see the colour! It is so pigmented and amazing for the price. The colour looks lovely on the lips on its own and looks a little glossy but I have been adding Rimmel Apocalips over the top if I want a glossy finish and I don't want the colour to be quite so intense.

Top: Shade 9
Bottom: Shade 9 with Rimmel Apocalips in Nude Eclipse

The only things to complain about are that it doesn't taste nice but for that money I wasn't exactly expecting it to. The other thing is that it is maybe a tiny be drying but it's nothing that a good old Chapstick can sort out.

So basically, if you are looking for an amazing value lipstick then go for it BUT if you expecting fruity flavour and a lip butter consistency then you may want to stick to high end brands.

Maddie x

(p.s. sorry about the pictures being at the end again, I still haven't fixed my computer and I bought the app BlogGo the other day but there is a few issues with uploading posts. I hope you don't mind, please stick with me while I try and fix it :) x )
